Here's another about friendship.

Departed Friend:

You were my friend but now you're gone, departed from this plane,
You left a hole within my heart that's filled with grief and pain,
But that will pass as grieving must, but your memory I'll retain,
I'll think of all the times we shared, the good and bad ones too,
and friend I'll treasure those memories,
Until I rejoin you.

I'll share more poems later not all about funerals some just for fun. see you soon.

Funeral Poems.

here are a few more poems for you to use if you wish, enjoy.

Dear Friend:

(name) Dear friend we were close for oh so many years, You've left us now and in your place are sorrow grief and tears,
But then I think of all we shared, the comradeship and laughter, the good times the fun times and the quiet times thereafter,
The memories of all we shared will always be with me,
and I know that our friendship will last eternally.
See you mate!.

My Friend:

My friend you're gone, no longer at my side,
But your memory forever within my heart will bide,
I will treasure all the times we stood and faced together,
Through sun and rain, through joy and pain and through truly stormy weather,
So I'll say farewell my dear old friend and thanks for all the fun,
and I'll carry all our memories until my life is done.

Openings;- When a life is done and we are forced to say goodbye to a loved and respected Elder, we may think only of what we have lost, when in truth we should be remembering all that they taught us and all the love and support that they gave us, and be grateful.

when a life is done and we are forced to say goodbye,
we should grieve and be free to sit and cry,
When we have carried the one who's gone upon their final mile,
we should remember them with love and laughter and a fond remembering smile,
yes we must grieve for that is the human way, but feel free to smile and even laugh a little as we remember them today.
